Ivana Pristašová is a soloist and chamber musician in demand throughout Europe. In addition to classical music, she is intensively engaged with contemporary music and has already premiered countless works. She studied violin at the Bratislava Conservatory and at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna with Prof. M. Frischenschlager. Of great importance in her artistic development was her meeting with Prof. Eugenia Tchougaeva, whom Ivana Pristašová taught for many years. Ivana Pristašová worked intensively with Klangforum Wien and the oenm/Austrian ensemble for new music Salzburg in numerous projects throughout Europe. Today she is a member of the "Ensemble Phace/contemporary music" in Vienna, which performs at many important festivals. As a chamber musician, Ivana Pristašová has played with important artists such as Benjamin Schmidt, Robert Cohen, Vladimir Mendelssohn, Gottlieb Wallisch and Patricia Kopatschinskaja and has worked intensively with composers such as S. Sciarrino, H. Lachenmann, G. F. Haas, E. Poppe, B. Gander. B. Furrer, Ch. Herndler, P. Billone, G. Torro-Perez and others. For some time now she has also been increasingly interested in jazz and "world music", performing with Dhafer Yousseff (oud), Jatinder Thakur (tabla) and Peter Herbert (double bass), among others. She also participated in several tours and CD productions with the "Vienna Art Orchestra" under the direction of Matthias Rüegg.
